I have a 2002 Ford Explorer 4.0 6 cyl and the battery light wont go out.
Replaced the alternator 3 weeks ago and put a brand new battery in it today. Battery light
wont go out.
Are you having starting problems? Take it to AutoZone or Advanced Auto Parts and have them test the alternator. It's a free service. It's possible that the alternator is defective.
Thank you . Will it be defective if it has only been on there about 3 weeks?
It was probably already defective when u put it in I had a starter do the same thing
I stay away from Autozone for pumps and alternators. Received three bad power steering pumps out of the box. Wouldn't have been so bad had the pulley not had to be removed with a puller and pressed on. Spend a little more money and purchase a quality part.
