Do I need to replace my tranny

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

When giving gas it would makeca reving
noise but wont go and then shoot off full
force and the o/d light will come on and
now im smelling weird smells inside the car

Possible, depends if the smell is from trans fluid or not. The O/D light coming on is not a good indication. Have it check out to be sure.

Sounds like the torque converter is going. Of you have a leak in the tranny.
