replacing small water pump hose and i am not a robot
2001 explorer 4.0 sohc the small hose from pump to thermostat in a hurry tired didnt connect while installing pump clearance is crap are braided lines more flexible and can i use one or is there a handy tool i can use to replace the rubber thx
you can get a good rubber hose to fit in there im sure...
the clearance is half of a blank hair next to impossible unless theres a hose tool i dont know about
You may have to remove some parts and do it properly. You sure you are not a robot?
thx im gonna go with a bigger hose with good clamps
this site has alot of masters no mechanics
I believe you are speaking of the hose which has a small bend to it. They are difficult. Having five explorers this is what I do. Place the hose on the thermostat housing first and secure it. Now use some vasoline on the inside of the hole (just a little) and position the hose on the water pump before attaching the housing.
