How many miles? Usually when a trans won't shift to overdrive, the overdrive band in the trans over time gets burned up faster than the other gears needed replacement. If that is a fact, your tearing in to the transmission and doing a rebuild. It could also be a torque convertor issue. Changing the fluid is always a cheap way to find out if you will be spending more money on repairs. But usually a fluid change will help with shifting but with yours not going into a specific gear, maybe not, hard to say. Best to have it looked at by a couple of reputable shops in your area to get some estimates.

I have that problem. Turn off overdrive button end of shift lever. Just drive in 3 rd gears. Or, rebuild.

I have a 04 expedition and some times when I put it on drive doesn't do anything until I Press the gas to 3000 rpm to click on first I would like to know if any body can tell me how to fixed
