Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Ford 2003 Expedition, no dash lights, no tail lights, no license plate lights. Brake, turn, dome, headlights all work. Replaced the actual switch, still not working. Don't know what fuse to check as the owners manual does not indicate which fuse controls these lights. Any ideas or what fuse  I can check to see if blown? Or, any ideas on what the cause is? Help!!!

I don't know about the 2003 but my 2004 owners manual tells me EXACTLY what is controlled by each fuse. It may not be a fuse. Have you checked all the bulbs? Do you have a trailer connection on the back? If so, is there a chance it has shorted out? This is the Ford official site. this link is for the 2003 service manual. download Owner’s Manual Printing 5 (PDF) and go to page 251 and you will find a fuse diagram.

Thank you for your response, took it to a repair facility, said the entire fuse box needs to be replaced. The want $1200.00 to replace. Can a do it your self guy do this meaning me?

As old as it is, I would think you could find a fuse panel in a salvage yard. You don't say where you are located. That is a very high price to replace one. If none of the wires are burned it will just about be a plug and play operation. You should be able to do it.

I have a 2003 expedition and my door ajar light stays on which keeps my interior lights on. What can I do or what's going on?

Check your door latches. You probably have at least one defective one.
