escape power loss

The car starts fine but after 3-4 minutes driving it starts to bog down until it almost stalls.
temp guage is only in the middle. Changed thermistat didn't fix any ideas?

After the vehicle warms up the temp gauge should be in the middle. You have some other issue going on. Check engine light on?

Hi Tom, no. the light isn't on. I am going to change the fuel filter since it is used I have no idea if it was ever changed plus they are cheap. its my kids car and he's almost run out of gas a few times.
