YOU HAVE TO REMOVE OR UNPLUG THE BATTERY OF THE VEHICLE. OR TAKE IT TO YOUR LOCAL DEALER AND THEY HAVE TOOL FOR THAT.

Musset, That advise is usually for the CEL. If the battery light is on, the OP's alternator is probably not putting enough voltage out and or the battery is suspect.
