Does a newly installed front driver's window regulator need to be somehow re-calibrated to my vehicle?
I just installed a new window regulator on my driver's front window. The
motor is strong and the window goes up and down great. The problem is:
once the window is fully up, the motor does not stop working. It sounds like
the gears are skipping, the window motor is turning over, and it is making a
big clunking noise. It seems to me that the motor does not know when to
stop working once the window is fully closed.
The same thing happens once the window is fully open. The window motor
is still cranking to keep going down, and it sounds like the gears are
skipping and making the big clunking sound again.
Does the new window regulator and motor need to be somehow adjusted
to tell itself to stop working once the window is fully up/down?
