My 1997 ford crown victoria lx battery not charging
Help me people
Was it a remanufactured alternator? Have the place you bought it test it, sometimes they are faulty out of the box.
And also do not know if that vehicle has a alternator fuse or not but check in owners manual. If not I agree with Tom.
This one should have a fusible link in the positive wire that goes from the battery to the alternator. Check for 12 volts at the alternator. The main alternator lead should be hot (have battery voltage) on it all the time even with the key off.
Looks like it also has a fuse (30 amp) in the fuse box under the hood.
