How Do I Put My Explorer In 4 Wheel Drive?

The buttons on dash Do Not Light Up.

Do they light up during the initial key not? If not then it check the fuses for the 4X4 electronics, if the fuses check good then it is possible you have a GEM module failure, broken wiring somewhere in the control circuits, if you do find blown fuses, disconnect the transfer case shift motor, replace blown fuses and see if the lights work, if they do then replace the transfer case shift motor assembly.
