Need to have truck repaired

Asked by Oct 09, 2016 at 01:25 PM about the 1993 Ford Explorer 2 Dr XL 4WD SUV

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My truck is bucking and shutting off. Someone
suggested it's a vacuum leak.

What is the cost to repair the vacuum leak in my
1993 Ford Explorer in Norfolk, VA?

Hard to say. Depends on where the leak is and how long it takes to find it. Stop in at a few local shops for some quotes.

My local mechanic charges $110.00 from diagnosis (about an hour labor) which is deducted from the bill if repairs are made. Check against that philosophy.
