I have a 2006 chevy 2500hd and it will start but it dies right away. any suggestions? my dad thinks it might be something with the remote start because when you turn on ignition you can hear fuel pump run but when you go to start it it shuts off right away
There is a few things you need to look at. First change the fuel filter, after filter change check your fuel pump pressure. If thats ok check to see if your injectors may be clogged.
Also if you can get some one over with a scan tool to check for codes, which would point you in the right direction. Fuel pressure is a common problem, pressure should be 56 to 62 lbs.
