Differential fluid flush?
What exactly does it mean when you flush out your differential fluid? I understand that you have to drain it out, but
what do you flush it out with? Is synthetic fluid better to use on an older vehicle then regular gear oil?
You just need to clean and wipe out as much as you can. When replacing the fluid, I like to go Synthetic no matter how old.
i wouldn't flush it with anything, never heard of that before . drain & fill ,make sure both surfaces are clean before you put the cover back on .
I agree with Tom,go with Mobil One synthetic.
I don't flush. Wipe it out. If there is a bit of residue you want to get out, spray a little saftey solvent or brake clean, wipe again. I use Lucas 75W-90 Synthetic.
