Hi I like to know the same is everyone else but I changed the oil in my 2500 chev and the new filter could it be that the check valve is no good in filter the gage does the same jumps alot but happed

That is called an anti drain back valve, it won't have nothing to do with oil pressure. Put a manual gauge on it , that way you will know what the actual pressure is, you may just have a bad pressure sender or gauge.
