Reset alarm without factory key

Asked by Sep 17, 2015 at 06:02 PM about the 1999 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 2 Dr STD Standard Cab LB

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I am unable to start my truck now due to the security alarm
system. Today the
alarm started working again and I do not have a factory key
or alarm remote. I
tried the wait 10 minute thing and that did not work! I need
help very badly!!!

Without a working key you'll need to be towed to your local Chevrolet Dealer so they can program new transponder key(s) to your truck. You'll need proof of ownership. So have your driver's license and the vehicle registration with you. HTH. -Jim
