should I get lojack or clearshield?

Hi the dealer wants to add lojack and clearshield to my package, should I
accept? I assume they are loaded unnecessary ad ons

Personally I would decline. Clear shield is worthless. I got hoodwinked into putting that on my wife’s car, you can get better products even from TEMU. But if you live where car theft is high then go with LoJack. Remember how easy it was is to steal a KIA.

I wouldn't buy it. I'm sure the vehicle has a factory installed security system. You can easily remove the fuel pump relay to prevent theft as well. They're usually in the underhood fuse box and just pull out and push back in. Without the relay the fuel pump won't turn on. Even if the thief bypasses the factory security system. The engine will start but the thief will make it to the end of your block before the engine stalls and won't restart. Once the pressurized fuel in the fuel system is exhausted, about one minute, it will die and not restart. I wouldn't bother with the clearshield either. Have the vehicle detailed twice a year or wax it yourself twice a year. Then spend the money you saved on something nice for yourself! Jim
