what is the best size 16 in or 17 in tire to run on a 2002 chevrolet silverado 1500 hd 4 x 4 wirh a 4 in lift?
Id go with a 17in. if thats your only choice, But my opinion a size 20" would look best.
make sure you put load range E tires on it if you are going to tow heavy- your truck is basically a 3/4 ton and you don't want to have a blowout.
it depends on what you are doing with it. if you tow, get 16s. they will have more meat on the tires and it will leave a bit more leeway for the tire to compress. if you want to stick mud terrains or all terrains on there, one of the very common sizes is a 17 by something or other (10? 10.5?) (I run 15s on my truck personally). I would check out the most common size of tires and then make a decision based off of that since that will drop the price drastically if you have a common size.
