My 05 silverado is idling rough. CEL
started flashing while parked. Soon
after CEL went off and truck was
idling fine. I just filled the tank and
tried to squeeze a little extra fuel in.
Just happened an hour. Any
thoughts.

Filled it up before this happened? Need to stop filling at first click of handle. The extra fuel might have backed up into canister system causing the issue. Not sure just a thought. Have cel codes read to know more about what happened. A blinking cel is not a good thing. When it's blinking you should turn engine off before possible major damage.

What code should I get if it is a over fill issue?

A flashing check engine light is warning you that the engine is misfiring and causing damage to the catalytic converter. You'd probably get a rich air/fuel mixture trouble code. If your Silverado has over 100,000 miles on it and has not had a tune-up, you're due. HTH. -Jim

Jim: just bought it used with 108k. What do you think, plugs wires, etc?

Yes, definitely. At 108,000 miles it's probably never been tuned up yet. Get the iridium spark plugs. They're a little more expensive but will last another 100,000 miles. HTH. -Jim
