Disconnecting the battery should have cleared the code. Either there is something else wrong or you might have replaced the wrong oxygen sensor. You could spend money on a code scanner to clear it off but more than likely it will come back.

What was the o2 sensor code. Auto Zone is bad for seeing any code that says O2 sensor and selling you a new one. The O2 sensor has several codes it can throw. Lean condition. Rich Condition. Heater circuit. Responsiveness. The first 2 are not a problem with the O2 sensor. The O2 sensor has detected a problem and you need to look elsewhere. What the code was is the best way to proceed.

Hi I have a Chevrolet Silverado 2001 and I had check engine light and change oil warning light both on did oil change and repair so then light did not go off. I call my mechanic he tells me I have to drive over 30 miles before it goes out . It went out after thirty five miles.
