Fuel tank

If I fill my gas tank up I use to get around 400 miles.
Now I fill it up I get about 300 miles. My check
engine light comes on and goes off randomly. I
don't smell gas. What could be the problem??

The check engine light concerns me, its not staying on, and it is not flashing. There may or may not be a trouble code set. A flashing check engine light indicates a miss fire and can damage the catalytic converter. It wouldn't hurt to have the vehicle scanned to see if there are any trouble codes. The Mass Air Flow Sensor may need to be cleaned, and the air filter should be checked.
