not going in first gear  when motor running
is there a ajustment?

If it's a standard, you can adjust the clutch pedal from under the dash. Most likely, your tranny needs a new clutch rebuild kit.

Nope, Ranger clutch is hydraulic so no adjustment, it is possible that you have some air in the system so check the fluid level, make sure you pullout the rubber seal/spacer before you check the level. Some people just dump fluid right on top of the rubber spacer.
