Unable to start engine!!!
Engine does turn, there is evidence gas is getting to the injectors however the engine will not start. The followings has been done.... changed the ignition control module, crank shaft position sensor and fuel pump fuse. This vehicle has a V6 engine. What did I miss?
Do you know for sure it's getting spark? Try spraying starting fluid in the throttle body. If it runs a few seconds it's getting spark but no fuel. HTH. -Jim
Thanks will check using your suggestion and advise later of what occurred.
You're welcome. Glad to help. Yes, please do. I'll be curious about how you made out. -Jim
ok, evidnece of fuel doesn't mean correct fuel pressure. THe engine requires 55 psi for it to operate. Any lower than 50 ish and it wont run. Go get a pressure gauge. When the pumps fail they usually will still pump fuel, just not enough
Thanks for your response...however due to the weather O/S I have not been able to check your responses. SEMPER FI
Sorry its taken this amount of time to respond.. the problem was a faulty fuel pump. Thanks for all your suggestions. SEMPER FI
