2000 chevy silverado is not shifting right
I have a 2000 chevy silverado 1500 when im going down the road and i start to hit a hill the truck will rev up like its going to shift down to keep up speed for the hill but the RPMS shoot up not the speed drops and you have to let off the gas in order to keep going.
That sounds like a transmission that is slipping. Check you fluid level in the transmission. It should be full an look like cherry Kool-Aid. if it's brown/black and smells burnt you will need to get it flushed ASAP. If it looks and smells alright fill it to the proper level on the dipstick while its running.
