I have a 2000 chevy silverado ive recently replaced the heater core the brake switch beside the brake pedal bulbs and fuses but i have no break lights
I drove a good distance with my
emergency brake down and they
no longer work all the rest of my
lights work except my brake
lights and my third brake light
If you have a hitch on it and pull a trailer I would look at the trailer wiring that been known to mess up brake lights like that
The wiring on the truck end
Does yours have a brake light/ hazard light relay? If so I would check that out.
Good catch offroadyota. I had the connection where the trailor lights harness (harness that hangs by bumper) plugs into the main truck harness (harness up under the truck bed) become loose once and cause a similar issue.
Yea well my old truck everytime you plugged the trailer lights in it would blow a fuse. I know he said he checked those so it's possible a wire is frayed or shorting out somewhere
