Truck died while driving on the interstate
On the interstate going to work my
truck died on me. It would turn over
for a second and die. After a few
attempts and having the lights on it
eventually stopped turning over and
just clicked. So my battery drained
within a few minutes. So at this point
I thought it was the alternator. After a
tow and a charge it would only start
for a couple seconds and die so I
couldn't test the alternator by pulling
of the neg terminal so I guess that
could rule that out. What could it be?
still think it is your alternator, and your battery is probably bad too. charge your battery fully and try to start. if the truck starts, put a meter on the battery set on volts dc. you should have 14+ volts. also, with the battery fully charged have it load tested.
