what would cause my truck to on accasion idle irregularly, choking up, then settle down and run fine
this time no problem starting drove 15 miles then started bucking , idling irregulary, give it
gas and would inch along and finally die. I started it up again acted like it would run fine ,
then just do it all over again. I finally was pulled it wouldnt start wated 20 min then it would
start but do the same as before only for about 5 to 7 sec any suggestion to my problem ?
I would take off the throttle body and give it a complete tear down and cleaning. Also replace you IAC valve. Here is an instructional video. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2a77eCwb5Zo If no change in performance, have error codes read. You may have a bad crank sensor or dirty or bad MAF.
There's a sensor that sits on the intake that dumps fuel for when you first start your truck and its cold it dumps a lot more but doesn't register when motor is hot so keeps dumping same amount of gas as when its cold had a 97 GMC sierra same thing happened
