My 2000 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 is losing acceleration and back firing why
Usually back fire mean,s a timming issue, and poor acceleration is another sign, check the timing on the truck, and if not timeing, check to make sure you don,t have a blowed intake gasket.
If CEL is on, you should have the codes read. If no check engine light, then these 4 sensors if bad, will cause that condition : Crankshaft position sensor, MAF sensor, Cam sensor, Knock sensor. But before sinking money on a guess, check all the usual suspects. Vac lines, plug wires, fuel filter.
