why wont it move ??

I was driving my 1999 Silverado and it was like -30 out and it was all good and suddenly when I was driving my truck the rpms hopped up to 5 and I slow down and pulled over. I tried going forward and reverse but it wont move I already check the fluids and it was all good I also cant hear and noise from the tranny and suggestions why it wont move?
