Can I swap transmissions from a single cab short bed to an extended cab short bed?

Bad tranny in a 99' and i found a parts truck with a good tranny. They're both
99's but the parts truck is a single cab and the one I'm going to drive isn't. I
was just wondering is I could switch them successfully and the 4x4 would still
work the same and everything would be good. Thanks

If both trucks have the same engine, (auto to auto/manual to manual) tranny set up, the answer is yes. The only difference may be a slightly longer drive line for the extended cab but that won't play a role in the transmission swap. I hope this helps! Best of luck!
