My 1998 Chevy Truck's fuel pump stopped working. So I changed out the relay and fuse, but it still didn't work. Then, I dropped the tank and removed the fuel pump. I hooked up the pump directly to the battery and the pump turned on, but when I hooked it back up the wiring harness (still outside the tank), still no fire. I checked the ground wire and it is connected. So I'm stuck. Does anyone have a suggestion?
....okay, check continuity at your pump because in testing it without gasoline to cool the little electric motor it probably has fried on you as well....check for +12 volts with the key switched to on...double back and check your relay and finally the ignition switch...but seems as though it should have been tested WET....return it if you can~
six dollar test light~
I'm having same problem replaced the pump and relay still not working
