Rough Idealing 1999 Silverado 1500

Asked by Nov 18, 2013 at 08:47 AM about the 1999 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 3 Dr LS 4WD Extended Cab SB

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I am having a problem with my 99 Silverado idealing at start up, it starts fine but after a
minute or so of idealing it will start to have a slight miss. It won't give me any codes or
anything, when i go to take off it has hardly any power unless i punch it for a short
period of time once i do that it will run great until the next time i start it again. then i
have to repeat the same process. i have changed the fuel filter thinking that might have
had something to do with it but it is still doing the same thing. any suggestions?

A miss is usually ignition related vs fuel. Check your spark plugs & wires.
