I have a 99 silverado 1500 5.3 motor, I
have never had any sort of problem wit
trany slipping or leaking but the
transmission line blew off back of radiator
and I replaced line and refilled wit fuilds
and no it won't go into 3rd and if o skip 3rd
to overdrive, the rpms are running high, I
don't feel like its the trany its self but Mayb
air in line, can it b that and how do I bleed
If it ran low on fluid it could have blocked the pickup filter screen I the tranny, have you tried servicing it yet, you also may want to think about bypassing the cooler in the radiator and install a larger one out in front of the radiator, it could be partially plugged and caused too much back pressure and blew the line. Just a thought.
Ok thank U, but wat about how to bleed the line?
That line is right off the main pressure flow so it will bled itself in very short order.
You don't bleed trans lines. If it was ran with low/no fluid then you burnt the clutches up. Might be time for a rebuild
