LowBoostProblems

Asked by kar341 Dec 12, 2012 at 05:32 PM about the 2004 Chevrolet Monte Carlo SS Supercharged FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Car started running where boot gauge didnt always work, replaced all factory vacuum lines due to some cracking, used GM parts only, still had same problem. Sespect either BCA, or BCS to be bad, would like to know to check theses items to see if either is bad?

Changed BCA, got part from dealer, seams to work better, but still not like it was, I now can get boost but only if I got my foot on the floor. I live 20 minutes north of Pgh PA. and we have mountains everywhere. This car when I got it would pull these hills in overdrive under boost, now it wants to down shift out of overdrive, gauge only makes about 2 to 5 psi of boost, should be 10. Any ideas????
