Asked by May 04, 2016 at 12:15 PM about the 2002 Chevrolet Monte Carlo SS

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

2002 monte carlo ss all options. Active TRaction engages for no reason as
well as ABS, cruise control strobes at me, fan control intermittent, but
controls strobing cruise control light,no instrument panel lights during the
day and compass keeps not lighting. Already replaced wheel sensors (2X),
Body control module last week and all items starting to do it again. These
are safety items what is wrong with my car? It has 95k miles.

That sounds like you have unstable or low voltage or your ground pathways are intermittent. I would suggest that you get a good shop manual with wiring diagrams and component locator then start tracing down the grounds and power connections, it only takes one bad ground to really cause an the electronics to go crazy.
