2001 Monte Carlo ss

My monte carlo keeps jerking & wants to
die when going up any kind of hill then on
even ground it's ok. We have also
discovered that the gas has gotten in the
charcoal filter and don't know why or how
it happened. Please help

Sounds like the purge valve for the EVAP system is stuck open. Is your check engine or service engine soon light on? If so, have the computer scanned to confirm this. Most auto parts stores will scan the computer for free. HTH. -Jim
