when bleeding the cooling system on a 1998 chevy monte carlo and no water comes out the bleeder values dose that mean the water pump is out
just changed water pump and bleed system and everything was fine then the radiator got
a small creak in it and now when bleed the system of air only air cames out while bleed
value what does this mean is the water pump going out again or could there be another
when cold, you are running the engine and open the bleed screw plus... u are adding coolant till it starts spitting coolant thru bleed screw? right? then when full shut screw and cap. if steam comes from radiator, look for cracks and any slight leaks at hoses. check water pump underside for leaks with a mirror when engine is STOPPED; weep hole should be dry.
Bleed the system when you initially fill it. I always drill a 3/64 air bleed hole in my thermostat for complete coolant fill without heating the engine. After coolant bleeds from both bleeder valves, I close them, start the engine until at operating temperature, then carefully bleed each valve. I prefer placing a shop towel under the area to soak the coolant. I hope this method works for you. I have used this and similar techniques for approximately 40 years. Best of luck. Peace
