I have a Monte Carlo with a blown engine. How much would it cause to replace? I was told anywhere from 2 to 4 grand. Is this a reasonable cost? I think it's a 1996, but I'm not quite sure.

You can put a remanufactured one in, with a warranty for around $3-$4K , but a '96 Monte? What is the condition? If it's a solid car, I'd install a used one with low miles if you could find one. Probably half the cost I listed, for purchase and install.

I think so, it my fiancé n he really wants it fixed. But in good condition other than the motor.
