Why van wont start when turning the key

it might be the solenoid on the starter,, take a hammer and tap it a few times if it starts its the solenoid.. they used to be separate from the starter but now its all one piece so you will have to remove the starter good luck,, hammer time

Installed new fuel filter on my 85 G20 van it ran for about 5 minutes then act like it wasn't getting gas,now it will turnover but not start ?

85 chevy van lights come on but won't turn over not even make a sound
