Smoke coming right under the engine all the way at the bottom vertically from the front driver window .. Light white smoke not much until i pulled in driveway and opend the hood after a 10min ride

Mustang gt 5.0L v8 99.8k...just got
the car ...It seemed like it was
overheating because of temp gauge
But it passed smog ... But never got
to red ... Just replaced starter , coil
and distributor cap ...i smelled
something not nothing serious then
opend hook and saw light smoke
from top of engine or maybe
considered back of engine After only
a 10 min ride ... Doesnt have blown
head gasket .. It passed smog few
weeks ago .. Wondering what could
be wrong.??

Most probably the coolant heater hoses that run to the back of the engine on the passenger side that connect to the heater core. I suspect one or both have a leak. Replace them before you overheat the engine and damage the headgasket or worse.
