Question type: Car Customization

Hi!
REcently got an Edelbrock p/n 8881 water pump for my Astro van 4.3L vortec engine. The only hitch is there is NO outlet on the pump body for the heater hose. 8o I figure my options are: drill and tap a hole in the pump for a fitting or find an alternate outlet for the heater hose.
Has anyone tackeled this problem before?

Thank you for your time,
AmmoGuy 8-)

Hi Jonathan, The fly in the ointment is that hi-performance water pumps don't come with the heater outlet boss. So ya have to make do. It's a micro example of hotrodding a 1969 Ramble American "Sport". Doable... but ya gotta do a lot of your own engineering. 8-o Thanks for the post Jonathan. Anyone else got any experience with this?? Ammo Guy 8-) Aim small, miss small.
