Why is my car dying?

My 2006 Toyota Corolla dies while I am driving. It something starts up again on
its own before I get to a full stop. I also saw sparks coming out from
underneath my hood which happened between the car dying and starting back
up again. Any ideas??

Sparks? wow, check the battery cables, they sound like they are loose, of course with the engine off.
