Can I put a different year fuel pump in my 2006 toyota corolla s, as long as it's for a 1.8L? If so what year fuel pumps can I use, cause I need I new fuel pump ASAP to get back and forth to work.
I don't have much money and I need
to find a decent used fuel pump with
lower milage use.
Your asking for problems. For your budget and the age of the Toyota go used. BTW What makes you think its the pump? They are reliable.
It's not getting enough fuel on the start up, it's turning over just fine, so I know it's not the starter or the battery. I just don't have much experience with cars or diagnostics. I mean, I'm only 17 haha. What else could cause it to hesitate during startup.?
Dose the engine "catch" at all? If the pump is weak something should happen besides turn over. Any CEL lights on on the dash?
Check engine from my oil needing changed, and when it starts up it's like an old tractor, turns over a couple times for about 2 to 5 seconds then finally fires up and goes.
