I was driving on the highway when my 94 ford escort wagon went from overdrive to drive, now wont shift out of park and the dash gauges-RPM,fuel and temp. dont work
Sounds like an electrical issue.
yes it does, but i have replaced many electrical componets, checked fuses, all the grounds i can see and was looking for help in pinpointing the problem.I replaced the steering column, cable operated shift release solenoid/acuator at bottom of shifter. What ties in the dash, and RPM and affects the engine and transmission and blinkers dont work, all worked previously.
someone has to be an expert at these electrical problems?
There are plenty of experts, but are they frequenting this site is the question? Did you inspect the brake light switch which is tied to the shifter on some cars? Since your blinkers don't work, have you inspected the ignition switch?
yes I replace the brake light switch and ignition switch, please help
