95 windstar,fuel pump shot.replaced it and is pumping again.sounds like it wants to start,i can spray starting fluid in it and it try's.once popped or back fired but wont run?anyone have an idea?

Check your fuel pressure at the intake rail. Also check to see if you have a pulse got to any injector. These 'blinking lite testers' ar < $10 and available at Auto Zone, O'Reilly's, etc. If you don't have a pulse width (blinking lite when cranking) you need professional help.

hello, zac here. my parents have a 1998 ford windstar and im wondering what some problems with it could be. i was told they were driving down the road yesterday and something happen idk what but something happen and then theres oil squirting in the back of the engine and white smoke coming from the engine. i went to take a look at it yesterday and the whole back side of the engine wall is covered in oil and on the valve cover gasket was a hole and that was the first place i saw smoke, found the plug and plugged it in, problem one solved. but then started driving it for 20 minutes after letting it warm up, it was smoking heavy from the tail pipe loss power then popped the hood and now the white smoke if coming from the left side by the alternator, in this location but underneath by the belts and what not. im going to look at it today to see if i can jack it up and look underneath to see what going on. any ideas, 3 Answers
