Remote and fog key box

Asked by Shamar Feb 19, 2018 at 10:31 PM about the 2007 Toyota Camry XLE V6

Question type: Car Customization

I have a 2007 Toyota Camry XLE.
I just purchased it about a month ago.
My girlfriend brought to my attention that the car
opens when pushing the black button while the car
was locked. I had then went out to check to see if
that was correct and it was. I locked the car with
the remote but then pulled on the handle while
pressing the black button and the car unlocked.
How can I fix this problem so no one steals my
car?.

Lets make sure i understand this issue. If you lock the vehicle with the Factory Key Fob...the vehicles doors ALL lock properly. Pulling on EACH door handle....its locked. The doors cannot be opened. Now...this ...Remote....is that an ..After Market device that is used to start the engine.....from outside the vehicle?

I'm not sure if it's a after market fob key remote. I only had The car for a month now, but it does lock. The only thing is when you push the black button in while pulling the handle the door unlocks on the passenger side of the vehicle.

Suggestions. Thake a photo of these Fobs....Remotes...and post here. Read the owners manual. It should describe the function of the factory devices which will lock and unlock the doors on this vehicle. Get back with results.

The car has a setting that will automatically unlock your car with the opening of the handle, if the key is within range. You can turn that off through the settings.

Does the 2007 Toyota Camry XLE V6 come have remote start feature equipped on the key fob?

Best to consult the Owner's Manual for this vehicle. If you can post a photo of the Key Fob....that may help.
