Question type: Maintenance & Repair

At about 2000 rpms the engine holds back, races and 2-3 seconds later the tach shoots up and the gear engages. It doesn't happen consistently. I noticed this 3 times in last 2 days. Please tell me what you think. It is an automatic transmission.

Probably the transmission like you said. Did you have the fluid level checked? Did you get a warranty when you bought the vehicle? Contact the dealer just because, they might be able to help.
