Left side liscence plate light not working .

Left side liscence plate light not working after a new bulb has been in . What could be the
problem

its in that area,, just socket has to be clean for ground connection, scrape contact area with lights off or you'll short and blow a fuse and try another bulb or bench test the bulb . it happens!

I agree with 7jimmy7. The only thing I would add is after contacts are cleaned put some bulb lube on the bulb before re installing it.
