1995 Ford Thunderbird brake light issue
When I press the brake, only the outer signal lights are coming on. None of
the three lights work when pressing the brake. Turn signals work fine, and
lights in back are fine when headlamps are turned on, they just don't
brighten up when braking.
Fuses ok, checked the brake light switch and it's fine, what is next? Could it
be a bulb is burnt out and it's taken out all the lights (like Christmas lights)?
Or what else should I check?
Not sure if those light up with the brake on or not, but if they do, yea, check and see if they hold a 2 filament bulb. One filament is for the tail light, the other inside the bulb is the brake light filament. So check the bulbs. If just the one filament, then they don't light up with the brake.
Yeah, I should've mentioned that I do believe the outer signal lights also light up, it's the inner trio (including the 3rd brake light) which do not.
