Where can I purchase MAXI FUSES for '88 Corvette?
Any good auto parts store. You can order them from Amazon. http://www.amazon.com/NEW-MAXI-Truck-Boat- Fuse/dp/B00431JGKW/ref=sr_1_1? ie=UTF8&qid=1446769189&sr=8-1&keywords=maxi+fuses
Nope. These ones I have already ordered as another person told me to get them there from Amazon. Don't fit........
You asked for Maxi fuses. What do you need? I would pull one out and take it to your local auto parts store.
I don't remember an 88 Vette using maxi fuses, they were still using fuse links back then along with standard plastic fuses. The pic shows MAXI, STANDARD and MINI plastic fuses that are in use today.
NAPA has MAXI style fuses. HTH. -Jim
Still trying to get those fans running? The car looks nice...
Thank you.. I'm having a hard time finding someone to put in my complete AC system as they're saying "it's rare to do that and I bought my own parts." This is ridiculous.... I'm getting quotes too of 875.00 just for labor to put my parts in......I think this is way too much than the national average as my compressor and evaporator and dryer are right on the passenger's side very accessible... It's crazy.
The far right fuses the larger ones with the green label are the ones I need -- blew one of them. Have to look at the wiring harness next to see what's up. I found them on Ebay and bought the whole panel for 19.00 with every single fuse and maxi fuse in it...... Does anyone know a good mechanic in Naples, FL they can recommend?
Is that for installing R-12 refrigerant? If so, go with either R-12a (a direct drop in replacement) or R-134a. Either will be much cheaper and work just as well. HTH. -Jim
