I have 1986 Corvette with alomost 130,000 miles. Once in a blue moon it pops out of second gear when driving. Any comments?

If this is a manual transmission, you may have worn linkage. Either go under and check it or have someone with knowledge of manual transmission linkage take a look. If it is good and the problem still happens after the adjustment, it may be time to do a rebuild, tune up on the transmission. Parts do get tired and wear out.
